BEATON PARK

Public BBQ

Beaton Park in Dalkeith delivers a rare combination of riverside tranquility and family entertainment that keeps visitors returning. The massive enclosed playground dominates the landscape, featuring everything from towering monkey bars to flying foxes that challenge kids across age groups. Parents appreciate the fenced boundaries and abundant shade while children navigate swings, slides, and climbing structures designed for ages one through ten. The Swan River location adds unexpected fishing opportunities behind the park, creating dual appeal for families with varied interests. Barbecue facilities anchor the social experience, supported by proper toilet blocks, ample seating, and enough open space for extended picnics. The resident kookaburras provide entertainment, though visitors quickly learn to guard their food from these opportunistic characters. River access and walking paths extend the experience beyond the playground, while the secure environment allows parents to relax knowing their children remain safely contained.
